Organic Facts
Organic products are grown without the use of harmful pesticides, fungicides, and chemical fertilizers. Organic means that the land has been free of prohibited substances for three years.
Organic meat, poultry, eggs, and dairy products come from animals that are NOT given antibiotics or growth hormones.
A product can only be labeled "organic" after a Government-approved certifier inspects the farm where the food is grown to make sure the farmer is following all USDA organic standards and rules.
